A.C. Vroman an amateur photographer and bookseller, based in Pasadena, California began to photograph around 1892. Vronman developed a fascination with the indigenous people of the desert Southwest, particularly the American Indian pueblos of New Mexico, and is best known for the portrait work he made there during his travels.
