Rebecca Norris Webb
(American, 1956 - )

Originally a poet, Rebecca Norris Webb has published five photography books: My Dakota, an elegy for her brother who died unexpectedly; Alex Webb and Rebecca Norris Webb: Memory City; The Glass Between Us; Violet Isle: A Duet of Photographs from Cuba (with Alex Webb); and Alex Webb and Rebecca Norris Webb on Street Photography and the Poetic Image. Her fourth book, Memory City, a collaboration with her husband and creative partner, the photographer Alex Webb, is a photographic exploration of Rochester, New York, the long time home of Eastman Kodak, which went bankrupt in 2012 and for many marked the end of the photographic film era. Her work has been exhibited at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the Cleveland Museum of Art; and the George Eastman House among other institutions.
