This photograph was thought to have been created from a cell of the short film L'etoile de Mer, although it was in fact created independently during the shooting of the film. It is extremely similar to a frame in the film, although the cropping is not identical to the filmed sequence. No other example of this image is known to exist as a gelatin silver print.
