Jeff Brouws Highway Approaching Nowhere
Jeff Brouws’ work will be included in the Norton Museum of Art’s exhibition, Blur / Obscure / Distort: Photography and Perception, on view from April 5 to July 20, 2025. The exhibition explores how photographers use visual ambiguity to challenge perception, with works by artists such as Uta Barth, André Kertész, and Francesca Woodman.
Brouws’ photographs often engage with the American landscape, documenting overlooked spaces, vernacular architecture, and the evolution of the built environment. His work reflects a deep interest in the intersection of history, culture, and visual representation, often drawing from conceptual and documentary traditions.
