Trent Davis Bailey on view at Denver Art Museum

The Denver Art Museum will present 32 photographs from Trent Davis Bailey’s “The North Fork” in what will be the artists largest exhibition to date. The exhibition opens on July 30, 2023 and will be on view until February 11, 2024. Titled “Personal Geographies: Trent Davis Bailey | Brian Adams,” the exhibition will be in two adjoining galleries: one with Trent Davis Bailey’s photographs and the other displaying Iñupiaq photographer Brian Adams.⁣

More info from the Denver Art Museum: ⁣
This exhibition will showcase a selection of photographs by Colorado-based photographer Trent Davis Bailey (@trentdavisbailey) and Anchorage-based Iñupiaq photographer Brian Adams (@brianadamsphotography), two artists who seek to understand themselves and the places they treasure through photography. ⁣

Trent Davis Bailey reflects on his personal history and the relationship between images and memory. “Personal Geographies” presents work from his series “The North Fork,” which draws inspiration from childhood memories, small-scale family farms, and the landscape of western Colorado.⁣

Brian Adams has travelled across Alaska and beyond to make pictures that celebrate the Arctic landscape and sensitively share the stories, cultures, and perspectives of Inuit people and communities. His photos encourage us to reflect on how climate change affects the landscapes and Indigenous communities of Alaska.⁣

Located in the photography galleries on level 6 of the museum’s Martin Building, “Personal Geographies” will consist of 32 photographs by Trent Davis Bailey.
